Step by step
Sign in with Instagram, then set up
Sign in with your Instagram account. It must be public, and either a Business account or a Creator account. A Business account is a brand here and posts deals. A Creator account is a creator here and applies to them. We read the type from Instagram every time you sign in, so it is not something you pick. Personal accounts cannot sign in.
Then finish setting up. Check the Instagram details we read, add your email and confirm it with the link we send, and fill in your profile. A creator gives a name, city, age and gender. A brand gives its name, city, website and, if it likes, a short pitch to creators. Profile details are saved once. Followers and engagement come from Instagram and refresh when you sign in.
Last, a creator adds the UPI ID they want to be paid on, with the name on that account. A brand adds billing details for its fee invoice. A brand cannot publish a deal without billing details, and a creator cannot apply without a UPI ID.
A brand posts a deal
The brand writes a title and a full brief. A template helps it cover what matters: the type of content, where it is shot, travel, the timeline, how approval works, how the brand may use the content, the files it needs, anything that must not appear, and how to deliver it.
The brand sets the budget in whole rupees, at least ₹5,000.00, and sees the breakdown as it types. It sets three dates: when applications close, when the content is due, and when the deal ends. Each date ends at 11:59 pm IST. Once published, a deal cannot be edited. The amount is final. There is no negotiation and no chat.
Creators apply
Every creator sees every open deal. Open one to read the full brief before you decide, and hover over the brand's name to see who they are and the deals they have completed here. If the amount and the work suit you, apply. If they do not, skip it.
You need a UPI ID saved to apply, because the brand pays you directly.
The brand picks one creator
The brand sees everyone who applied: their Instagram handle, followers, engagement, city, age and the deals they have completed on ValueSkins. It confirms one creator, which closes the deal to everyone else. Creators who were not picked see that in Applications.
Payment 1: the ValueSkins fee
The brand pays ValueSkins a flat fee of ₹750.00 plus 18% GST, which is ₹885.00, through Razorpay. It comes out of the deal amount, and the brand gets a GST tax invoice for it. It is the only money ValueSkins receives.
Until the fee is paid, the brand can cancel the deal at no cost. After that, the deal cannot be cancelled in the app.
Payment 2: 30% to the creator, by UPI
The brand now sees the creator's UPI ID and the name on the account. On a phone it taps Pay with UPI app. On a computer it scans the QR code with a phone. The amount is already filled in. Before entering the PIN, the brand checks that its UPI app shows the same name.
The brand then records the UPI reference, also called the UTR. The creator checks their UPI app and taps I received it. If the money did not arrive, the creator taps Not received and says why, and the brand can pay and record it again. Recording a payment does not move the deal on. Only the creator's confirmation does.
The creator delivers
The creator makes the content and shares a Google Drive link to it on the deal page before the due date. In Drive, set the link to Anyone with the link, so the brand can open it. Every link shared is kept on the deal.
If the content is late, both sides get a reminder. The deal is not cancelled automatically.
The brand reviews
The brand opens the link and either approves the content or writes what it wants changed. The creator sees the request on the deal page and by email, makes the changes, and shares a new link. This repeats until the brand approves.
After 5 rounds of changes, both sides see a note: if you cannot agree, raise a dispute.
Payment 3: 70% to the creator, by UPI
After approving, the brand pays the remaining 70% the same way, to the same UPI ID, and records the reference. The creator confirms it arrived, and the deal is complete.
The deal record
The deal moves to completed for both sides. Each can download the deal record as a PDF at any time. It shows who the two sides were, the brief, the amounts, every payment with its reference and dates, and every content link.
The brand also keeps the fee invoice. The advance and final documents are payment records, not tax invoices, because ValueSkins never received that money.
An example
A brand posts a deal for ₹10,000.00.
- ValueSkins fee, ₹750.00 plus 18% GST: ₹885.00
- Left for the creator: ₹9,115.00
- Paid before work starts, 30%: ₹2,734.50
- Paid after approval, 70%: ₹6,380.50
The rules
- Brands post, creators apply. A brand cannot apply to deals and a creator cannot post them. Which one you are comes from your Instagram account type.
- One brand, one creator. Each deal has exactly one brand and one creator.
- We never hold the creator's money. The 30% and the 70% go straight from the brand to the creator by UPI. ValueSkins receives only its own fee.
- UPI IDs stay private. A creator's full UPI ID is shown only to the brand confirmed on their deal, and only while a payment is due. Everywhere else it is hidden, like cr•••@okhdfcbank.
- Cancelling. A brand can cancel at no cost until it pays the fee. After that, only we can cancel a deal, through a dispute, and the fee is not refunded. Creators cannot cancel.
- Your profile is entered once. Profile details are saved once. If you made a mistake, write to us and we will correct it. Followers and engagement update from Instagram.
- Changing your email or UPI ID. Both can be changed in Settings. A new email address is used only after you confirm it with the link we send.
- Every step is on record. Each payment, link, request and confirmation is dated and kept on the deal, and both sides see the same history.
What ValueSkins does not do yet
We are new, and there are things we cannot offer yet. We would rather you hear them from us now. We plan to improve each one as we grow.
Scope
- Instagram only, for now. Each platform needs a different kind of content. We are doing Instagram deals well before adding others.
- No niches yet. Deals are not sorted by niche, so every creator sees every deal.
- India and rupees only. The service is offered in India, and every amount is in Indian rupees.
- One creator per deal. We do not support campaigns with several creators or creator teams yet.
- Website only. ValueSkins works in your browser, on a phone or a computer. There is no app yet.
- One login per account. The service is for adults aged 18 and over. There are no team or agency accounts yet.
Money and tax
- We do not hold or protect payments. Brands pay creators directly, so we cannot guarantee or recover a payment for either side. We ask both sides to deal in good faith.
- UPI IDs are not verified. Creators, enter your UPI ID carefully. Brands, check the name your UPI app shows before paying. A payment to a wrong UPI ID cannot be recalled.
- No GST invoice on creator payments. Payments to creators are plain UPI payments. A creator registered for GST raises their own invoice outside ValueSkins.
- Tax deducted at source is not handled. If a brand must deduct tax from a payment to a creator, it does that itself.
- One flat fee for every deal. Our fee is the same whatever the size of the deal, so it is a larger share of a small deal.
Deals
- Fixed price, no chat. The brand sets the amount and it is not negotiated here. The two sides can write to each other by email.
- Deadlines are reminders, not locks. Late content gets a reminder. We do not cancel a deal or move money on our own.
- Usage rights are up to each deal. How a brand may use the content is whatever the deal says. Brands, write it clearly. Creators, read it before applying.
- We do not store the content. Content is shared as a Drive link the creator hosts. Keep your own copy.
- No results tracking. We do not measure how a post performs once it is live.
Profiles
- Profiles are not verified. We confirm you control the Instagram account you sign in with, and we read followers and engagement from Instagram. We do not check anything else you tell us.
If something goes wrong
From the deal page, raise a dispute and say what happened. A person reads it and replies to both sides. We will do our best, though we cannot promise a particular outcome.
You can also email founder@valueskins.com with the deal id, like 8K2M4QXZ, or call +91 88056 95324.
